The idea behind these works is about people, communication, interaction and reactions all brought together visually. I found the process of listening and seeing how people spoke to each other particularly interesting. Words without physical presence can sometimes be misunderstood which is why I wanted to make sure that didn’t happen visually. I wanted the words ‘OF COURSE I LOVE YOU’ to be said and meant in the most sincere way possible. I used faux ostrich skin fabric because the texture is similar to the physical effect on human skin when a certain song is heard or something meaningful and inspirational is expressed—GOOSEBUMPS, a reaction we have all experienced in one way or another...
